When you post the names and addresses of gun permit holders and then hide behind ARMED GUARDS, you are totally negating the point you were trying to make about gun control. I know plenty of liberals will get pissed because FOX NEWS!!! and I'm feeling pretty dirty myself here, but this level of hypocrisy is more naked than a Playboy centerfold and not nearly as pretty.
It's like the death penalty. You can't maintain credibility by killing people to show the world that killing is wrong. Likewise, you can't maintain credibility when you expose gun owners and then hire armed guards to protect you.
Journal News was utterly foolish in making this ineffective and spiteful gesture. It has begotten equally spiteful and childish retaliations from gun owner groups, most notably the idiot attorney who posted the names and addresses of all the journalists of Journal News. Posting the names and addresses of people did absolutely nothing to reduce gun crime, except show that a handful of gun control advocates chose to hide behind men with guns for their self-protection.... thereby completely nullifying their point.
Shame on you, Journal News. Those of us who want stricter laws on gun ownership are all sullied by your stupid stunt.
Every rational person who supports a ban on assault rifles, more rigorous training for gun owners, background checks at gun shows, and other gun crime fighting legislation, owes it to themselves to condemn the Journal News's irrational, morally empty and hypocritical behavior.
